Class Registration, Payment & Cancellation Policy CLASSES: (Updated October, 2011) Class seats are reserved on a first come/first serve basis. You will not be considered as "registered" for a class until your deposit is received and cleared. Sorry, but we do not "hold" seats without a deposit. Once the classes are filled, a wait list will be started. In the event of a cancellation by another student, the next person listed will be given the opportunity to take the class. All terms as listed below shall apply regardless of date enrolled. Payment Methods & Options Payment Methods Accepted: Paypal, credit cards, personal or business checks, and U.S. money orders. Payment Options: You may pay for classes via the following methods (processing fees may apply and are not considered part of your class fees): Standard Option: Pay 50% (or amount noted on class info page) deposit of class fee down, and the balance no later than 30 days prior to scheduled class date. Monthly Payment Option (3 or more months): Pay class fees in equal monthly installments to have balance paid in full no later than 30 days prior to scheduled class date. Please note that there is a $2.00 processing fee for each payment made via this option regardless of your payment method. This processing fee is not part of your “class fee” and is non-refundable. Class Fee Options (may not be offered on all classes – see individual class info page for availability) Basic Class Fees: Basic tools and glass are provided by the studio (including eye protection glasses if needed) with the exception of large bbq masher, glass nippers/cutters and a notebook for your notes. You may also be required to bring additional tools for certain classes at the request of the teacher. A list of any such tools will be provided to you prior to the class. All materials used during class and provided by the studio remain the studio's property. Any beads you are unable to pick up will be shipped to you via standard USPS first class mail and is included in the basic class fees. Reduced Fee Classes: Many classes are now being offered with an option for you to bring your own tools, materials, and lunch at a reduced price. This option is listed in the "class info" page for those classes (others will be added also - please be patient as classes are updated to include that option if available). If there is only one add to cart button for one deposit, but the option to bring your own materials is listed for that class, you must notify me at the time of your deposit that you are taking advantage of this option. If you do not notify me, it will be assumed that you are not bringing your own tools, materials and lunch, and we will purchase the materials to have on hand for use at the class. Once we purchase the materials for the class, you can not request a refund for the difference between the two options. All materials for use during class which are purchased and provided by the studio remain the studio's property. So please be sure to let us know at the time you sign up for the class to avoid any issues later on. Please note that postage and handling of your beads are not included in class fees and are considered as “materials.” If you will not be able to pick your class beads up the following morning after class, you must provide a suitable self-addressed, stamped envelope or box for shipping the beads to you. Kit Fee: Some classes may require a kit fee. Any such fee will be listed on the class information page, and any items within the kit will become your property to take home with you. Kit fees are in addition to the regular class fee for specialty items and/or tools and usually consist of items the teacher requires for the techniques being taught. Registration Deadlines and Cancellation Policies The following policies apply regardless of your payment method or class fee option. Classes are usually confirmed at or around the 30 day mark prior to the class. We recommend that you make your travel arrangements after you receive email confirmation of the class going forward. Classes taught by Marilyn Peraza Cancellation/Refunds: Full refund of class fee will be given if cancellation is given at least 20 days prior to the class. No refunds on classes cancelled within the 20 days immediately prior to the class shall be given unless you are able to find someone to take your seat, in which case you will receive a refund of your class fees less a $50.00 service fee. In the event the studio must cancel a class for a legitimate reason, all of your class fees paid will be refunded to you. We will not be held liable for any cost incurred by you, other than the amount paid towards the class fees as outlined herein. This includes, but is not limited to, airline tickets, hotel accommodations, lost work, processing fees, etc. Classes taught by Guest Teachers All Classes: Since most teachers will be flying in to teach their class, a deposit is required at the time of booking your class to ensure your space in that class is reserved, with the balance being due no later than 30 days prior to the class date. (Note: Deposit amounts may vary for different classes). Class fees for cancellations prior to the 30 day balance due date will be refunded in full. Class fees for cancellations after the 30 day balance due date, or non-payment of your balance as outlined above (which will automatically be considered a cancellation - unless other arrangements are made prior to the due date), will be refunded the class fee deposit amount less a $50.00 service fee provided only that the seat is filled by someone on the wait list, or the original student is able to find someone to take their seat (the $50.00 service fee will still apply), otherwise, no refund will be given. No class fee refunds (partial or otherwise) on classes cancelled within the 10 days immediately prior to the class shall be given. We will not be held liable for any cost incurred by you, other than the amount paid towards the class fees as outlined herein. This includes, but is not limited to, airline tickets, hotel accommodations, lost work, processing fees, etc.). IMPORTANT NOTE: Classes with Guest Teachers require full enrollment capacity to run. * Classes not reaching full capacity enrollment by the deadline date of 30 days prior to the class are subject to being cancelled. In the event we cancel a class for this reason, class fee deposits will be refunded to the students enrolled. In the event of cancellation due to anything out of the control of the studio (weather event, electrical outage, illness of teacher or inability of teacher to teach, or any other legitimate reason), which may even be at the last minute, every effort will be made to reschedule the class, and class fees received will be applied to the new class date. In this event, if you are unable to attend the new scheduled class, a refund of all class fees will be provided to you upon your seat being filled by another student. We will not be held liable for any cost incurred by you, other than the amount paid towards the class fees as outlined herein. This includes, but is not limited to, airline tickets, hotel accommodations, lost work, processing fees, etc. *Guest teachers coming for 3 or more days to teach 2 or more classes are subject to all classes being full to capacity for either/any class to run. Other Photographs: We do not take many, but we may take some photos of the class you have registered for. This is done for the purpose of promoting the studio and future classes both here on the site as well as other venues where I normally promote the business. If you do not wish to be in any photos, you must request, in writing, at the time you register, that you not be included in photographs. Please note that you may be asked to leave the studio room for a short period(s) of time so that photos can be taken of the class, you will then be able to rejoin the class once the photos are complete. I do try not to disrupt the flow of the class, so please don't worry about that. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but you must understand that promotion of the studio is extremely important, and without it, future classes may not be available. Terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU REGISTER. THANK YOU!
