Intermediate - Advanced Beadmaking Class

Roses, Roses, Roses!

As many of you know, I have been making rose beads since, well... the beginning of my lampworking journey about 12 years ago.   I started making the sculptured rose bead in several different styles (I even have a successful dvd on how to create the most popular of the designs), then in the early 2000's I taught myself to make the rose murrini, which is the same method I still use today and teach in my tutorial as well as in workshops.   There are other rose making techniques I have developed over the years, and I'm going to share each and every one of them with you during this workshop.    You will also take home with you the password to access both the sculptured rose and rose murrini tutorials when attending this class for future reference.

You will learn the techniques used to create the following:

           Day 1:   Making & Pulling a Rose Murrini

           Encasing your Rose Murrini in your Beads

           Creating a partially raised Rose Murrini Bead

           Day 2:  Making the Sculptured Rose bead (most popular design)

           Making a rose bud bead.

           Making a Mini Rose Bead

           Other techniques or small sculpture may also be covered as they arise during class.

Please wear long sleeve cotton shirt as well as jeans or other long pants and closed shoes (tennis shoes are okay) to your class.  If you have long hair, please bring something to tie it back away and out of your face.
