Torch Rental Policies All renters must be 18 years or older and able to sign a rental agreement, waiver of liability, and emergency medical sheet before being permitted to rent the studio.  These will be kept on file and should be updated regularly.   Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled torch time to review all rules, policies, and sign any required waivers, agreements or other documents required by Peraza Glass Studio.    Potential renter must be an experienced glass worker, have experience on an oxy/propane torch (to be determined by Peraza Glass Studio) or, must have taken a beginner class with Peraza Glass Studio.   Potential renters may be required to demonstrate a basic understanding of flame working equipment and tools, and all corresponding safety procedures.  Torch slots begin and finish according to the time scheduled during booking. Renter must arrive on time for scheduled rental period.  Late arrivals will not be reimbursed, nor will renter's time be allowed to run past scheduled rental time without additional fees.  No exceptions. The studio can be rented for a minimum of 3 hours up to 8 hours by appointment only between 10:00a.m. and 6:00p.m.  A discount is provided to those who previously took a class at the studio.  A $25.00 deposit is required.  Rental time includes an experienced glass bead artist on site for minor assistance/instruction if or when necessary. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to scheduled bookings. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in a penalty of $25.00. Studio policies must be followed by all renters or future rental privileges will be revoked.  Studio policies will be posted within the studio.  Please arrive early to your scheduled time to review the policies. Appropriate clothing includes natural fibers, closed shoes, safety glasses, ear and respiratory protection where necessary. Peraza Glass Studio will not be held responsible for injuries related to insufficient attire or misuse of equipment.  If you have any questions about proper safety attire, ask prior to working in studio. Renters are responsible for providing their own glass, however, the studio provides all tools necessary for making glass art beads, small marbles and small boro work.  Certain soft glasses will be made available to a renter who does not have glass; renter will be required to reimburse Peraza Glass Studio the costs for same prior to use.   A professional kiln is also available for annealing your creations.  No glory holes are available, this is a small flame working studio set up for mostly soft glass and small sculpture.  If you are looking to rent space for creating with boro with larger torches, I recommend Locally Grown Art. Renters are responsible for maintaining a clean area during their scheduled booking, and completely cleaning the area, including, but not limited to, returning all tools to their original location, wiping table area down and sweeping surrounding floor area, bleeding all gas lines, etc.  Failure to do so will result in a $25 fee or future rental privileges will be revoked. Peraza Glass Studio is not responsible for lost or stolen items and personal property.  Please do not leave any personal property at studio, including your annealed glass. Peraza Glass Studio is not responsible for any personal property left at studio.   Peraza Glass Studio will ship your annealed items to you if you are unable to pick them up from the studio within 48 hours for a small fee.   Peraza Glass Studio is not responsible for cracked or broken glass items removed from the kiln or caused during shipping. Report any problems with equipment or with other renters during your studio time immediately. No alcohol consumption and/or drug use in the studio.  No smoking in the building.  Peraza Glass Studio reserves the right to remove anyone from the studio, without refund, if they are found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, who presents harm to any other person in the studio, abuses the equipment/studio, who deliberately damages anyone else's work in the studio, or for any reason whatsoever in its sole discretion. A damage fee will be charged to renters for full replacement or repair cost of damaged equipment. In the case of equipment failure Peraza Glass Studio will credit time remaining. Peraza Glass Studio is not responsible for material, or for power outages. Only the named renter is allowed in the studio area, please do not bring children with you.
